Dr Desjardins is a medical doctor (MD) and a medical specialist certified and licensed both in Canada and the United States. He has special certifications in Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Trauma, Perioperative Imaging, Functional Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine.

He has spent more than 40 years taking care of critically ill patients in major North American medical centers. It was clear to him early on in his practice that waiting for individuals to develop chronic disease and then initiate therapy was not the way to provide optimal care.

Evaluation of risk and prevention of chronic disease was a better approach to maximize the quality of life and healthspan of our patients.

His medical practice today is focused on preventing disease early, assessing individual risk, and providing strategies to live healthier and live longer.
